Economic Development
House District 67 and Northern Kentucky have one of the greatest economic advantages in the Commonwealth. Being near major markets, centrally located, and having access to multiple resources, Terry will fight to lower Kentucky's state income tax, keep our economy competitive, and help keep more money in your pocket. Lowering the state income tax is about more than providing relief to families; it helps attract employers, keep jobs on our side of the river, and give small businesses the support they need to grow and succeed.
Secure Critical Infrastructure
Plain and simple, HD-67 needs a seat at the table in Frankfort when it comes to securing much-needed funding for our district's infrastructure. Terry will foster and grow partnerships with local, county, and state leaders to ensure that our community is not forgotten and receive the same resources as others throughout the Commonwealth. Terry will support investments in roads, bridges, and utilities that keep House District 67 moving forward. Most importantly, Terry will work on practical solutions that benefit ALL residents.
Support Our Veterans
After graduating from high school, Terry joined the United States Army. The Army taught Terry many of the lessons he carries with him today and helped shape him into the person and leader he has become. Terry strongly believes that our veterans made the ultimate sacrifice and often face unique challenges when returning to civilian life that many cannot fully understand. He believes veterans should have access to quality healthcare, mental health services, employment opportunities, housing assistance, and support for their families. We must take care of those who served our country and helped protect the freedoms we enjoy daily.
Education
A strong education system is essential to a strong community. As your voice in Frankfort, Terry will work with local school boards and support policies that strengthen our local schools, attract and retain great teachers, ensure our schools have the resources they need to thrive, and protect parental rights in their children's education. Every student deserves the opportunity to receive a quality education, whether that means attending college, learning a skilled trade, joining the military, or entering the workforce. Stronger schools create stronger communities and help keep students in the classroom and on the path to success.
Public Safety
House District 67, like many communities across the Commonwealth and the country, has experienced, and continues to experience, the devastating impact of drugs, fentanyl, and substance abuse. Terry will support efforts to combat the flow of illegal drugs into our communities and work to stop the trafficking of drugs across the river. Terry will also work to expand access to treatment and recovery programs, helping individuals get the support they need to rebuild their lives. Terry fully supports our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and first responders who work every day to keep our communities safe. Terry will be their advocate in Frankfort every day, working to ensure House District 67 remains a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.
Support Small Businesses
Small businesses are the backbone of our community. They play a vital role in both the local and state economy, creating jobs, supporting the community, and driving innovation. However, many small business owners face challenges from government regulations and red tape. Terry knows this firsthand, having been a small business owner for more than 45 years. Terry will be a friend to small businesses and a leader in addressing the challenges they face, rather than adding to them.
